Definition The quantities of food products bought, by product, include all the purchases from commercial units or private traders, irrespective of the destination of the products (human consumption, livestock and poultry feeding, storing, processing, gifts, etc.).

Methodology The average monthly quantities of agro-foods and non-foods products purchased by a household are obtained by reporting the quantities purchased by sampled households by each product at the total number of households. To add up the totals are used the equivalents coefficients of derived products (processed) from the based products.

Observations Data source is given by Households integrated survey (HIS), deployed in 1997-2000 period. 
Interruption Last period of this series: Year 2000. After this period, the series continue with the BUF113I matrix
