Definition The length of inland waterways refer to the length of rivers, canals, as well as of navigable routes on lakes suitable for navigation, primarily by inland waterway vessels.

Observations Data collected once every 5 years.
The inland waterway infrastructure as of 31.12.2025 is reported in accordance with the information published in the UNECE Blue Book, to ensure consistency and comparability of data at the international level. The data include the Bucharest?Danube Canal and exclude recreational lakes. 
Continuation This matrix represents a continuation of the TRN144A matrix, containing data up to Year 2015.
