AGR108B - Area cultivated with main crops by counties and localities 
Definition The main crop cultivated area represents the sown or planted area on own land in the agricultural year of reference or in the previous years (biennial, triennial or perennial crops) with one main crop cultivated for the largest part of the year.

Data sources Statistical surveys based on administrative sources 
Methodology The administrative used territory is followed including the area seeded in the previous year autumn (less the area of the crops compromised in autumn and winter) to which the area seeded in the concerned year spring as well as the area occupied by old perennial crops are added. For the vegetables the area cultivated on own plot in open field and under protective cover is taken into consideration.

Observations For 1990-1999 Bucharest municipality including localities of Ilfov county.
The number and name of localities are in accordance with administrative territorial structure updated for current year.
Since 2004 the series was interrupted; the data obtained from the crop production survey for the main crops are only representative at county level.
