AGR206A - Agricultural branch production by sectors, ownership form, macroregions, development regions and counties - new series |
Definition |
The value of the agricultural branch production represents the volume of all crop and animal products (without losses and intra-unit consumption) obtained in a calendar year, of the expenditure for fruit tree and wine plantations establishment and maintenance until they are in bearing, of the agricultural services provided by specialised units based on tariffs or contracts, as well as the value of the related inseparable non-agricultural secondary activities. The intra-unit consumption represents the quantity of agricultural products obtained and consumed within the same unit, within the same agricultural work and in the same calendar year. |

Methodology |
Agricultural branch production is determined in accordance with the Eurostat methodology on EAA and it includes the following: value of all agricultural product productions (including the wine production value obtained in the agricultural units which are not equipped with industrial wine making installations) and value of the agricultural services provided by specialised units.
Agricultural branch production does not include the following: value of seed consumption of own production for the crops where the seeding is made in autumn, value of the grapes used for the wine production of the agricultural units which are not equipped with industrial wine making installations, value of the calves-consumed milk, value of milk converted into by-products within the same farm, and value of the incubated eggs. Since 2004 the agricultural branch production, respectively the animal output additionally includes the value of inseparable non-agricultural secondary activities. The inseparable non-agricultural secondary activities are activities directly related to the agricultural production and they cannot be separated from the main agricultural activity as regards the costs (e.g.: cheese making in the animal breeding farm).
The computation method of the agricultural branch output indicator provides the data comparability with the previous years.
Agricultural branch output is expressed in the basic prices (producer prices to which product subsidies are added and product taxes are deducted from) of every year.
