Definition The forest land area which underwent woodcuttings represents the area on which tree were cut to be turned into account and to ensure the favourable conditions for their development.

Methodology Exhaustive statistical survey which uses a combination between statistical sources and administrative data is adressed to forestry units having activities included in NACE under 020 groupe (Sylviculture, logging and auxiliary services).
