ART103C - Institutions and companies for arts performing or concerts by categories, macroregions, development regions and counties

Definition |
The performing arts and concert institutions and companies are: theaters, philharmonic orchestras, orchestras and artistic ensembles that functioned in the reference year. The performing arts and concert institutions and companies present directly to the public artistic productions - shows and / or concerts which can be: dramatic, choreographic, opera, operetta, folk, magazine, cabaret, circus, puppets and / or marionettes shows, instrumental theater, respectively concerts of academic music, symphonic, vocal-symphonic, chamber, choral, folk, electronic music. If the show institution performs shows at the same time in several locations or if in the same location are alternatively performed shows in different languages, the artistic staff shall be grouped in artistic collectives. If under the same administrative leadership there are artistic collectives which perform shows in different artistic types or different languages, they are considered as separate artistic units. |

Methodology |
They are the public or private cultural institutions, in the service of the society, meant to provide education and entertainment as well as to promote inland and world cultural and artistic values at national and international level. The theatres, philharmonic orchestras, orchestras and artistic ensembles which performed during the reference year offer the public dramatic, choreographic, opera, operetta, folklore performances, revue, cabaret, circus, puppets and/or marionettes (animation), of instrumental theater, respectively concerts of academic, symphonic, vocal-symphonic, choral, folkloric, electronic as well as concerts, regardless of the type, or any other kind of show where the artists' performances are live. In case an institution has performances at the same time in several theatres or has alternative shows in different languages in the same theatre, the artistic personnel are grouped in artistic groups. If under the same administrative leadership management there are artistic groups which perform different types of artistic shows or in different languages, they are considered as separate artistic units. |
