Definition |
The number of disability under age children in special needs education represents the number of pupils registered in special needs educational units. The number of under age deficiency persons from special needs education comprises under age deficiency persons for which education and/or recovery are assured in special needs educational institutions. |

Special / inclusive education centers: For the 1999-2011 period, the data refer to special education centers, and beginning with the year 2012, data refer to inclusive education centers.
Schools for other physical and intellectual deficiencies include: special schools for motion disabilities, special schools for students with behavioral (socio-affective) disorders, curative pedagogy and social therapy centers, special schools for rehabilitation.
Hostels and special schools for severe mental disorders: For the 1994-2013 period, the data refer to school hostels for children with mental disorders, and beginning with the year 2014, data refer to special schools for severe mental disorders. |
