ASS104A - Beneficiaries from the protection system of children at risk 
Definition The number of beneficiaries from the protection system of children at risk comprises: children benefiting of preventive activities, children under definitive care of family type (by integration in natural family, final and irrevocable adoptions, national or international), children under temporary care of family type, children protected in placement centers.

Data sources National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of the Child and Adoption 
Methodology In numbers of protected children from placement centres(end of year) are included children taken over by the National Authority for Child Protection and Adoption starting with 2000 (G.D.no 261/2000) from school units of special educational system;from institutions of special protection of disabled persons (S.S.P.H.); from units of hospital sections with profile of distrophy persons recovery, recoveries and neuropsychomoving rehabilitation or for AIDS sick children and reoganised within public specialised services for child protection.

Observations The starting year for data series is 1999. This is the first year for which, National Authority for Child Rights Protection (founded in 1998) has provided data.
