Definition Food consumption, expressed in calories and nutrients, is the equivalent in calories and nutrients (proteids, lipids, glucides) of the food products included in a person's food during a certain period of time (usually, one day).

Methodology Daily average of food consumption per person is obtained by reporting the number of calories (or quantitative nutrients) afferent eatable parts from each product and for every household, at the number man - days alimentation.

Observations Data source is given by Households integrated survey (HIS), deployed in 1997-2000 period. 
Interruption Last period of this series: Year 2000. After this period, the series continue with the BUF112I matrix
