COM101B - Turnover in the retail trade for the enterprises having trade as main activity, by activity CANE Rev.2 and type of ownership |
Definition |
Turnover represents total income achieved by the entreprise during the reference period, coming both from its main activity and from its secondary activities. Turnover does not include VAT and income from the sale and transfer of fixed assets.
Retail trade represents the activity of reselling the goods to the final consumers, generally in small quantities and in the state in which they were bought (or with insignificant changes), as well as retail sales through shops of the enterprises producing the goods and intermediations of retail trade.
The value data are presented in the current prices of each year. |

Observations |
Data are available since 2008. For the period 1997 - 2007 data are found in the matrix COM101A. The data comparability between NACE Rev.1 and NACE Rev.2 is not possible due to structural changes between the two classification (such as aggregation and/or detail of the classification). Since 2011 the data are available only for total due the dominance of major private sector in total economy and statistical confidentiality cases. |
