CON108C - Employment, by activities of national economy CANE Rev.2 and by professional status - ESA 2010 
Definition Employment covers all persons - employees and selfemployed - engaged in productive activity that falls within the production boundary of the national accounts..
Employees are defined as persons who, by agreement, work for a resident institutional unit and receive a remuneration recorded as compensation of employees.
Self-employed persons are defined as persons who are the sole owners, or joint owners, of the unincorporated enterprises in which they work, excluding those unincorporated enterprises that are clasified as quasi-corporations. In this category are included: unpaid family workers, including those working in unincorporated enterprises engaged in market productions, outworkers whose income is a function of the value of the outputs from some process of production for which they are responsible and workers engaged in production undertaken entirely for their own final consumption or own capital formation, either individually or collectively.

Observations The data are available starting with 2004.
Starting with 2004 the data were estimated according to the final results of the 2011 Population and Housing Census and are not comparable with the previous data series.
Starting with the first quarter of 2021, the data have been estimated according to national accounts to cover self-employed in agriculture. According to EU regulations, the new methodology from the LFS no longer includes this data.
For the period 1995 - 2003 data are found in the matrix CON108B. 
Continuation This matrix represents a continuation of the CON108B matrix, containing data up to Year 2003.
