Definition |
The average number of persons per room is given by the ratio between total persons and the number of habitable rooms of households. The following are considered habitable rooms: bedrooms, dining rooms, guest rooms, offices (libraries), maintenance rooms, as well as the hallways whose area, height and natural light are those of a habitable room and hence are used for habitation. The following are not considered habitable rooms: annexes and other areas (kitchens, verandas, vestibules, corridors, bathrooms, lumber rooms, boxes, etc.) even if they are inhabited. |

Average number of persons per room by occupational status of the head of household are determined by a ratio between number of persons, distribute by occupational status of the head of household where are from and number of habitation room that households dispose (also distribute by number of component members) |
