Definition |
The average living floor space is the ratio of the areas of all habitable rooms (calculated based on the inside dimensions of the rooms at floor level) to the total number of persons. The following are considered habitable rooms: bedrooms, dining rooms, guest rooms, offices (libraries), maintenance rooms, as well as the hallways whose area, height and natural light are those of a habitable room and hence are used for habitation. The following are not considered habitable rooms: annexes and other areas (kitchens, verandas, vestibules, corridors, bathrooms, lumber rooms, boxes, etc.) even if they are inhabited. |
