Definition |
Labour resources on January 1, are represented by that category of population having the physical and intellectual capacity to perform useful work in one of the economic activities.
Labour resources include: working age population able to work as well as persons under and over the working age but who are still working.
The working age are:
For 1990, until 2000, 16-54 years old for women and 16- 59 years for men;
For 2001, until 2009, 16-57 years old for women and 16- 62 years for men;
For 2010 - 16-58 years old for women and 16- 63 years for men;
For 2011-2015 - 16-59 years old for women and 16- 64 years for men;
For 2016-2019 - 16-60 years old for women and 16-65 years for men. For 2020 - 2022 - 16-61 years old for women and 16-65 years for men; For 2023 - 16-62 years old for women and 16-65 years for men. |

Methodology |
Labour resources include:
1.Working age population able to work - is determined by subtracting the persons with permanent incapacity to work and the pensioners of working age who do not work from the working age population.
2.Active persons under and over working age.

Observations |
Starting with 2014, the labor resources, as well as the category of non-employees belonging to civil employment for the respective year were estimated based on the resident population on January 1st, of the following calendar year.
The data on labour force resources, civil economically active population and civil employment are not comparable to previous year 2014. |
