Definition |
The basic gross salary is the salary agreed upon in the individual work contract/job agreement according to the responsibility and complexity of tasks and to the professional level necessary for the respective position, the management allowances, performance salaries and indexations included (only those included in the basic salary). It does not include allowances (the personnel remunerated according to the Law 330/2009 excluded) and bonuses. |

Methodology |
The main objective of the survey was to provide the information necessary to estimate the average basic gross salary in October for the employees who worked full-time the whole month by categories of employees and economic activities.
The survey has been designed according to the provisions of the national legislation in force and to the international recommendations on the subject stated by the International Labour Office.
Data obtained were aggregated by the main activity of units according to the Classification of Activities of the National Economy CANE Rev.1, harmonized with the European classification in the field (NACE Rev. 1).
