GOS106C - Number of localities with drinking water installation by residence area, macroregions, development regions and counties 
Definition The total length of the simple network for the distribution of drinking water is the length of tubes and pipes installed on the territory of the locality, for the transport of drinking water from feed pipes or pumping stations to the consumers' connection points. The length of the distribution network will be recorded as a simple network, taking into account that if on the same street there are two or more pipes installed, their overall length will be considered. Both auxiliary networks and main and secondary distribution channels are included. The length of the distribution network will not include the length of branch pipes or the length of feed pipes. The length of the feed pipe is not included even if a series of consumers are connected to it.

Methodology Starting with 2000 the number of localities comprises municipalities, towns and communes and until 1999 the number of localities includes municipalities, towns and villages.
