Definition The localities provided with gas are the municipalities, towns, communes and villages (according to the administrative division in force) in which natural gas is distributed, both for domestic use and for industrial, construction, social units etc.

Methodology Starting with 2000 the number of localities comprises municipalities, towns and communes and until 1999 the number of localities includes municipalities, towns and villages.
