Methodology |
The data for the year 2008 period were recodified according to the new Classification of Activities in the National Economy (CANE Rev. 2), harmonised with the European classification in the field (NACE Rev. 2), and the data series were recalculated according to the new classification and as a result of changing the base year and the weighting system used to calculate the indices. The recalculation was based on the data collected in 2008, according to both CANE revisions, through the statistical survey on short-term indicators in industry. The data series for the 2000-2007 period was estimated according to CANE Rev. 2 on the basis of the matrix of conversion between the two versions of the classification. The matrix was built using the results of the survey meant to improve the statistical register and updated with information collected through the structural business survey. Changes due to implementation of new classifications, the transition to a new reference year (2005, replacing the reference year 2000) and changes in the weighting system have generated changes of data published previously. |
