Statistical survey on orders from industry units details |
Methodology |
The data for the year 2008 period were recodified according to the new Classification of Activities in the National Economy (CANE Rev. 2), harmonised with the European classification in the field (NACE Rev. 2), and the data series were recalculated according to the new classification and as a result of changing the base year and the weighting system used to calculate the indices. The recalculation was based on the data collected in 2008, according to both CANE revisions, through the statistical survey on short-term indicators in industry. The data series for the 2000-2007 period was estimated according to CANE Rev. 2 on the basis of the matrix of conversion between the two versions of the classification. The matrix was built using the results of the survey meant to improve the statistical register and updated with information collected through the structural business survey. Changes due to implementation of new classifications, the transition to a new reference year (2005, replacing the reference year 2000) and changes in the weighting system have generated changes of data published previously. Indices of new orders measure their evolution per total manufacturing working with orders, CANE Rev. 2 divisions (13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 24-30) as well as broad industrial groups. Value indices of new orders are provisional and can be reviewed periodically, based on the corrections done retroactively by the enterprises in the sample, regarding data previously filled in. The statistical survey is of sample type. New orders index for non- domestic market are Laspeyres type and are calculated according to Council regulation 1165/1998 ammended by European Parliament Regulation 1158/2005 for short term business statistics. |
