Definition |
Crime rate represent the number of persons who received a final conviction per 100000 inhabitants. Crime rate represent the number of offences solved by the police and offences solved by the Prosecutor's Office after the police declined its jurisdiction per 100000 inhabitants. |

Observations |
The population by domicile on 1 July of the reference year represents the number of persons with Romanian citizenship and domicile on the Romanian territory, delimited according to administrative-territorial criteria. For the period 2002-2011, the recalculated population on 1 July of each year was used. For the period 2012-2021, the resident population on 1 July of each year was used. |
