Observations |
Population on July 1 was calculated by the components method using administrative sources for external migration. These sources do not cover the entire phenomenon of migration, especialy the emigration flows from Romania. As such, there is a severe underestimate of the phenomenon which leads to an overstatement of the Romanian population.
Data presented for the period 2003-2013 are provisional, the number of population for the time series to the previous census will be recalculated.
