Observations |
Legal population LP - it can be used only to calculate the demographic statistics indicators.
The number and name of localities are in accordance with administrative territorial structure updated for current year.
Population on January 1 / July 1 was calculated by the components method using administrative sources for external migration. These sources do not cover the entire phenomenon of migration, especialy the emigration flows from Romania . As such, there is a severe underestimate of the phenomenon which leads to an overstatement of the Romanian population.
Data presented are provisional, the number of population for the time series to the previous census will be recalculated and made available after the publication of the final results of 2011 Romania's Housing and Population Census.
