Definition |
The new case of disease represents a disease diagnosed at the first visit of patients to the phisicians, regardless of the onset date of the illness and the first clinic symptoms. The infections and parasitic diseases are included in International Classification of Diseases - Rev. X from 1994. |

Methodology |
New case of illness discovered for the first time, through the presentation of the patient to the doctor, regardless of date of onset of illness and the first clinical symptoms. The infections and parasitic diseases are included in International Classification of Diseases ICD 10 from 1994. For tuberculosis, the data are provisional for the last year.
