Definition Breakdown of the persons admitted for treatment, following drugs consumption includes:
- for the year 2007 - the persons admitted to treatment in the units belonging to the Ministry of Health, Evaluation and Anti-drugs Consulting Centers of The National Anti-drugs Agency.
- for 2008-2011 - the persons admitted to treatment in units belonging to the Ministry of Health and in outpacient Integrated Care Centers of Addiction of the National Anti-drugs Agency, in private care centres and within the penitentiary system.
- for 2012-2015 - the persons admitted to treatment in the units belonging to the Ministry of Health and in outpacient Integrated Care Centers of Addiction of the National Anti-drugs Agency within the penitentiary system, including the therapeutic communities.

Methodology The number of person admitted for treatment reffers to unique cases (one treatment episode initiated during a calendar year for the same person, regardless if the treatment was performed by several health care providers). Within "other substances" category are included alcohol, tobacco, new psychoactive substances and other unspecified psychoactive substances.

Observations The data are available starting with 2001.
The distribution of people admitted for treatment includes:
- for the year 2007 - persons admitted for treatment in the units of the Ministry of Health and in the Center for Drug Prevention, Evaluation and Counseling of the National Drug Agency.
- for 2008-2011 - persons admitted to treatment in units belonging to the Ministry of Health and in outpacient Integrated Care Centers of Addiction of the National Anti-drugs Agency, in private care centres and within the penitentiary system.
- for 2012-2015 - persons admitted to treatment in the units belonging to the Ministry of Health and in outpacient Integrated Care Centers of Addiction of the National Anti-drugs Agency within the penitentiary system, including the therapeutic communities.
- from 2016 - persons admitted to treatment in the units belonging to the Ministry of Health and in outpacient Integrated Care Centers of Addiction of the National Anti-drugs Agency within the penitentiary system.
