Observations Population as at July 1st of each year was used for the 1990 - 2001 period, and it was determined by the component method using administrative data sources for external migration.
Starting with 2002 was used usual resident population on July 1st; it was estimated under comparability conditions with the final results of the Population and Housing Census - 2011.
Starting with the school year 2012/2013, as per legislation in force (Law no. 1/2011 on Education), the age groups for the school-aged population are: 3-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-14 years, 15-18 years, 19-23 years and over. Starting with the school year 2014/2015, this indicator also includes data on the number of children enrolled in nurseries; therefore, a new age group for children aged 0-2 years is formed.
Data will be available at A+26 months term.
