Definition |
The obesity rate was calculated by dividing the number of persons with the calculated Body Mass Index greater than or equal to 30 Kg/m2, to the resident population aged 18 years and over and multiplied by 100, and the indicator is expressed as a percentage. |

Methodology |
The health population survey was carried out in accordance with the provisions of EC Regulation No 1338/2008 regarding the Community statistics on public health and health and safety at work and on the European regulations implementing EU Regulation No 1338/2008 (Commission Regulation (EU) No141/2013 as regards statistics based on the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS)) - for the 2014 Health Survey and the Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/255 as regards statistics based on the European Health Inter-view Survey (EHIS) for the 2019 Health Survey). The methodology for these surveys was developed by Eurostat. |
