Observations |
Until 2011, the number of deaths under 1 year and live births included deaths under 1 year and live births whose mothers were domiciled in Romania at the time of birth and whose births were registered at the Status Offices Civil from Romania. Starting from 2012, only deceased persons under 1 year of age and live births whose mothers had, on the date of birth, habitual residence in Romania and whose birth was registered at the Civil Status Offices in Romania are included. Statistical data are constantly revised, according to the INS data revision policy. Thus, the data related to 2020 have been modified and are of the "revised" type. Data prior to 2020 will no longer be reviewed. The revised data on deaths under 1 year old and live births related to the months of year T represent the definitive absolute data related to demographic phenomena (deaths under 1 year old and births) registered in year T, to which deaths under 1 year old and births registered late were added in the years T+1, T+2 and the first four months of the year T+3, but which happened in the year T.
