Definition |
The traditional product represents the food product manufactured on the national territory and for which local raw materials are used; which does not contain food additives; which presents a tra-ditional recipe; a method of production and / or processing and a traditional technological process which is distinguished from other similar products belonging to the same category. At European lev-el, traditional products are divided into three categories: products with a protected designation of origin, a protected geographical indication and guaranteed traditional specialties.. The indicator measures the target, because it determines the in-crease of the number of producers (associations) of such products, the economic development of the area through the use of specific products, the national and international recognition, the extension of the products on the national and international market. |
