Important!
· Please hold Shift or Ctrl keys while clicking the dimension elements to obtain a multiple selection.
· Use the three buttons below each dimension to ease your selection: Expand, Collapse and Select All
· The measuring units are all selected by default, to prevent empty results when combining uncompatible requests (for example, one may ask for production of corn measured in liters; or a value in ROL after the denomination in 2005). You are free to modify the selection, just be careful. Thank you!
TCX0352 - Target 5 - Social - Incidence of certain communicable diseases preventable by vaccination (measles, rubella, mumps, varicella, whooping cough, tetanus)
Definition The incidence of a communicable disease preventable by vaccination (such as measles, rubella, chickenpox, etc.) refers to the number of newly diagnosed patients (new cases) with one of the communicable diseases in the reference year.
The incidence of measles per 100,000 inhabitants is the number of new cases of measles diagnosed in the reference year, on average, per 100,000 inhabitants in the resident population.
The incidence of measles per 100,000 inhabitants was calculated by dividing the number of new cases of measles in the reference year to the resident population on 1st July of the reference year, multiplied by 100,000 and is expressed in number of new cases of measles/ 100,000 inhabitants.
Similarly, the incidence of other diseases is calculated.

Last update SEP 26, 2023
Observations Infectious-contagious diseases can affect the population in milder or more serious forms, and the most affected are children, whose immune system is still developing. Immunization through vaccination is the most effective method for preventing and protecting against some of the communicable diseases in both children and adults. Vaccination reduces transmission of vaccine-related diseases to other persons, reducing the frequency of epidemics.
The data may undergo revisions following the resident population revisions (in accordance with the INS revision policy) and/or the updates of providers' data registers.
