TDB0371 - Target 7 - Social - INCIDENCE OF TUBERCULOSIS, VIRAL HEPATITIS AND OTHER COMMUNICABLE DISEASES PER 100,000 INHABITANTS |
Definition |
The incidence of a communicable disease (such as tuberculosis, viral hepatitis etc.) refers to the number of newly diagnosed patients (new cases) with one of the communicable diseases in the reference year. The incidence of viral hepatitis per 100,000 inhabitants is the number of new cases of viral hepatitis diagnosed in the reference year per 100,000 inhabitants in the resident population, on average. The incidence of viral hepatitis per 100,000 inhabitants was calculated by dividing the number of new cases of viral hepatitis in the reference year to the resident population on 1st July of the reference year, multiplied by 100,000 and is expressed in number of new cases of viral hepatitis/ 100,000 inhabitants. The incidence of other diseases is calculated similarly. |
