Important!
· Please hold Shift or Ctrl keys while clicking the dimension elements to obtain a multiple selection.
· Use the three buttons below each dimension to ease your selection: Expand, Collapse and Select All
· The measuring units are all selected by default, to prevent empty results when combining uncompatible requests (for example, one may ask for production of corn measured in liters; or a value in ROL after the denomination in 2005). You are free to modify the selection, just be careful. Thank you!
TDL0391 - Target 9 - Social - MORTALITY RATE DUE TO CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE, DIABETES AND RESPIRATORY DISEASES
Definition The mortality rate due to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes or respiratory diseases in a year in relation to the population of that year and is expressed in the number of deaths due to cardiovascular diseases, diabetes or respiratory diseases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Periodicity Annual
Data sources NIS: Permanent residence population at July 1st (based on administrative sources)
NIS: Statistical survey on mortality
NIS: Usual residence population at July 1st
Methodology Causes of death are according to the WHO - ICD - 10th revision starting with 1994.
Last update MAR 07, 2024
Observations Until 2011 the number of deaths included deceased that had their permanent residence in Romania.
Beginning with 2012 there are included deceased that had either their permanent residence or their usual residence in Romania.
Usual residence is the place where a person normally spends his daily rest period, without taking into account temporary absences for recreation, holidays, visits to friends and relatives, business, medical treatment or religious pilgrimage.
The following categories of persons are considered to have their habitual residence in Romania:
- persons who have lived at the address of their habitual residence for an uninterrupted period of at least 12 months before the reference date or
- persons who settled at their habitual residence less than 12 months before the reference date, with the intention of staying for at least one year.
The statistical data are constantly revised, according to the Revision Policy of NIS.
Thus, the data for 2020 have been modified and are of "revised".
Data prior to 2020 will not be revised.
The revised data on vital events (deaths) for the year T represents the abso-lute final data related to vital events (deaths) recorded in year T, to which were added vital events (deaths) belatedly recorded in years (T+1), (T+2) and the first four months of (T+3), but that occurred in year T.
