Definition |
In addition to the computers (PCs) available for the educational units, IT equipment includes the tablets purchased or received by some educational units and used in the educational process carried out online. PC - a computer equipped with a hard disk, monitor and keyboard and managed by the school/university units. SDG4 - Quality education; 2030 target measured: 4.5 - Improving the education system by adapting the teaching-learning methodologies to the use of information technologies and increasing the education quality. - The indicator 'IT equipment within the education system' is relevant for assessing modernisation of the education system, in particular the use of information technologies. The beneficiaries of such modernisation are the pupils, the prospective employees; - The indicator 'Internet-connected PCs' shows the ability to modernise the education system by adapting teaching-learning methodologies to the use of technology. |

Tertiary education data are provided by the place (locality) of each faculty. Legal framework for the calculation of the indicator: - National: a) Law no. 1/2011, as amended and supplemented; b) Law No 226/2009, as amended and supplemented. - European: (a) Regulation (EC) No 452/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council; b) Commission Regulation (EU) No 912/2013; c) UNESCO-OECD-EUROSTAT-UOE methodology, Lisbon Convention; (d) Regulation (EC) No 223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as amended. Due to the rounding of the decimal part, there can sometimes be differences between the totals and what results from the summation.
