Definition |
The participant in continuing vocational training (CVT) courses is that person employed by the respondent unit, who in the reference period, took part in one or more CVT courses (internal and/or external). Continuing vocational training (CVT) courses are events organized and coordinated by one unit, exclusively conceived to provide training or vocational training to a group of persons in other places than working places (i.e. in a classroom or training center), by skilled staff (teachers/lecturers/experts) for a period of time set up and planned advance by the course organizers. According to the organizer and coordinator unit, there are two types of courses: - Internal courses are organized by the unit itself, even it the place of the course is situated outside the unit (e.g. in a conference room, hotel, university, another enterprise, inside or outside that locality or in another country, etc). - External courses are organized and coordinated by another enterprise or unit, completely separated from the surveyed unit, even if the place of the course is inside the respondent unit or the training center. SDG 4 Quality education - the indicator directly measures the implementation of target 4.7 on expanding facilities for lifelong continued training and learning, considerably increasing participation in formal and non-formal systems of knowledge with a view to bringing Romania?s performance closer to the EU average. This indicator shows if people have been stimulated to participate in vocational training programs, which helps to assess the extent of the facilities for training and continuous improvement throughout life. |
