| Definition |
The population aged 30-34 with tertiary education is expressed as the percentage ratio of the population aged 30-34 who have successfully completed tertiary education according to the International Standard Classification of Education - ISCED - to the resident population in the age group 30-34.
A person's tertiary level of education can be given by the successful completion of one of the ISCED 5, 6, 7 or 8 levels of education.
SDG4 indicator - Quality education - measured target: 4.11 Extend the principles and specialization of sustainable development within formal university education and emphasize the role of interdisciplinary research in the development of a sustainable society. |

ISCED 0-4 education levels, according to the International Standard Classification of Education, ISCED 1997/ISCED 2011. Data up to 2013 refer to ISCED 1997 levels 5 and 6. |

Data presented are calculated by Eurostat as annual averages of quarterly data from the EU Labor Force Survey (EU-LFS), based on AMIGO survey data.
When classifying persons aged 30 to 34 by educational attainment, the following were taken into account:
- level of education completed, certified by a degree or other document certifying completion of education;
- the correspondence between levels of education (established according to national legislation) and the levels of education defined according to the ISCED 1997/2011 International Standard Classification of Education
