The share of time spent on unpaid domestic work and care activities was calculated by dividing the average total time spent by the resident population aged 10 years and over with: domestic work and family care activities and unpaid assistance to other households, by 24 hours and multiplied by 100 and is expressed as a percentage. |

Observations |
The 2000 Time Use Survey was the first round of this type of selec-tive statistical survey carried out in the EU during 1998-2006 in 15 countries, including Romania. This first round was carried out in accordance with the 2000 HETUS European methodology.
At European level the survey name is 2000 HETUS, irrespective of the period in which the first round of the TUS survey was carried out.
The second round of this survey was carried out during 2008-2015 in 18 countries, including Romania. This second round was carried out in accordance with the 2010 HETUS European methodology.
At European level the survey name is 2010 HETUS, irrespective of the period in which the second round of the TUS survey was carried out.
