Definition The population connected to the wastewater collecting systems represents the number of persons connected to the wastewater collecting systems, by urban/ rural area.
The wastewater collecting system is a system of canals and pipes that collect wastewater from many sources to drain them together.
The population connected to the treatment plants represents the number of people connected to the wastewater treatment plants, by urban/ rural area.
The wastewater treatment plant is an installation or a group of installations built or adapted to reduce the amount of pollutants in wastewater.
