Definition |
The final energy consumption is determined by summing up the quantities of energy carriers used by the final consumers in the economic activity carried out during the reference period. It includes the quantities of primary and transformed energy carriers used in the consumers' installations, as a result of which no further processing or energy transformation takes place. |

Methodology |
The units of survey are the producers of electric, thermal, primary and transformed energy, as well as consumers of energy resources from all the activities of the national economy, which activity in the reference year. |

Observations |
The sampling volume was determined respect requiring that the accuracy of the sample for the total number of employees to be 0.03, for a 95% confidence level at total country level. The select unit was the enterprise. The sample survey ensured the representativeness of the data both at the level of the national economy and at the level of each NACE Rev.2 class coded at division level with the three size classes of the enterprise according to the number of employees.
