| Definition |
The share of persons aged 16-74 years who ordered/purchase goods or services over the Internet in the last 12 months, by the categories of goods or services ordered/purchase is the ratio between the number of persons aged 16-74 years within each breakdown, who ordered/purchase goods or services over the Internet in the last 12 months from a certain category of goods or services and the total number of persons who have ordered/purchase goods or services over Internet in the last 12 months from that breakdown.
The types of goods or services: films, music, books (including e-books), magazines, newspapers, video games software and upgrades, other computer software and upgrades, travel arrangements or holiday accomodation, tickets for events, household goods, clothes, shoes, sports goods, computer hardware, electronic equipment

Begining with year 2020, the types of goods or services are: clothes (including sport clothing), shoes or accessories (e.g. bags,jewellery), sports goods (excluding sport clothing), children toys or childcare items (e.g. nappies, bottles, baby strollers), furniture, home accessories (e.g. carpets or curtains) or gardening products (e.g. tools, plants), music as CDs, vinyls, films or series as DVDs, Blu-ray,printed books, magazines or newspapers, computers, tablets, mobile phones or accessories, consumer electronics (e.g. TV-sets, stereos, cameras) or household appliances (e.g. washing machines), medicine or dietary supplements such as vitamins, deliveries from restaurants, fast-food chains, catering services, food or beverages from stores or from meal-kits providers,cosmetics, beauty or wellness products, cleaning products or personal hygiene products (e.g. toothbrushes, handkerchiefs, washing detergents, cleaning cloths),bicycles, mopeds, cars or other vehicles or their spare parts, other physical goods. |

In 2014, data were estimated based on the resident population on 1 January 2014 and they are not comparable with data series of previous periods. For years in which data are not available, they have not been researched in those years.
Starting with 2020, for this indicator, the reference period has changed from the last 12 months to the last 3 months.
