Definition |
The indicator is defined as the growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, expressed as a percentage change from the previous year. GDP is the main indicator measuring the national economy and is defined as the value of all goods and services produced in the economy less the value of those goods or services used in their creation. The total population, for the years of comparison, is the resident population (stable) on 1 July of each year, estimated on the basis of comparability with the final results of the Population and Housing Census - 2011. |

Methodology |
The value of GDP per capita of a given period expressed in prices of a previous period is divided by the value of GDP per capita for the previous period and subtracted by 100. |

Observations |
Data are available from 2008 and are aggregated at national level. For the series presented, the resident population on 1 July of each year has been used, estimated for comparability with the final results of the Population and Housing Census - 2011.
Data for resident population are available on teritorial level up to county level starting with July 1, 2012.
