Definition Territorial units-secondary offices as provided by the Romanian Companies Law and the number of electromagnetic devices provided by the reporting entity enabling authorised users, to withdraw cash from their accounts and/or access other services, such as obtaining information on account balances, transferring funds, or making deposits, using a physical card.

Data sources The National Bank of Romania, the NBR Reporting Information System (SIRBNR) and the European Central Bank 
Methodology The number of working facilities is added to the number of all territorial units, central unit included; measurements: the number of ATMs.

Observations The National Bank of Romania and the European Central Bank provide annual data.
