Definition The indicator refers to the road traffic accidents causing body injuries, depending on the place where they occurred.
A road traffic accident causing body injury refers to any accident involving at least one vehicle moving on a public or private road to which the public has access, causing the death or injury of at least one person. Suicides or suicide attempts are not included.

Observations The data for the years 2008-2010 were rectified by the Road Directorate within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police.
