TJX0923 - Target 2 - Environment - The structure by age of registered road vehicles, in total fleet 
Definition The indicator refers to the share of each age group of road vehicles registered at the end of the year in the total fleet.
Road vehicles registered represent road vehicles that are authorized to drive on public roads, based on their registration in the records of the competent bodies to supervise traffic on these roads.
The age of the vehicle is the period of time from the first registration of the vehicle, regardless of the country of registration.

Data sources Statistical survey on vehicles registered in circulation 
Methodology Vehicles registered in circulation on December 31 (total fleet) include: mopeds and motorcycles, cars, buses and minibuses, goods vehicles, special purpose road vehicles, tractors, trailers and semi-trailers.
Trams, trolleybuses and military vehicles are not included.
The age groups of road vehicles registered at the end of the year are:
- <= 2 years,
- 2 >= 5 years,
- 5 >= 10 years,
- > 10 years,
- 10 >= 20 years,
- > 20 years.
