Definition |
Regeneration - is the process by which a new generation of forest trees is established and can be achieved through natural regeneration and artificial regeneration (afforestation). - Natural regeneration is the process of transitioning to a new generation of trees, which is done naturally from shoots or by germinating seeds that come naturally to the ground. - Artificial regeneration (afforestation) represent all works by which an area of land is planted or sown in order to create new coppices, both on exploited forest lands and on lands without forest vegetation. |
