Important!
· Please hold Shift or Ctrl keys while clicking the dimension elements to obtain a multiple selection.
· Use the three buttons below each dimension to ease your selection: Expand, Collapse and Select All
· The measuring units are all selected by default, to prevent empty results when combining uncompatible requests (for example, one may ask for production of corn measured in liters; or a value in ROL after the denomination in 2005). You are free to modify the selection, just be careful. Thank you!
TMK1165 - Target 6 - Environment - NUMBER OF DEATHS CAUSED BY RESPIRATORY AND CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES
Definition Person whose final functions definitively ceased after a certain time passed from his birth.
Periodicity Annual
Data sources NIS: Statistical survey on mortality
Methodology Causes of death are according to the WHO - ICD - 10th revision starting with 1994.
Last update MAR 07, 2024
Observations Until 2011, the number of deceased included those who lived in Romania.
Starting from 2012, only the deceased with their usual residence in Romania are included.
Usual residence is the place where a person normally spends his daily rest period, excluding temporary absences for recreation, holidays, visiting friends and relatives, business, medical treatment or religious pilgrimage.
The following categories of persons are considered to have habitual residence in Romania:
- persons who have lived at the address of habitual residence for an uninterrupted period of at least 12 months before the reference date or
- people who settled at their usual address less than 12 months before the reference date, with the intention of staying for at least one year.
The statistical data are constantly revised, according to the Revision Policy of NIS.
Thus, the data for 2020 have been modified and are of "revised".
Data prior to 2020 will not be revised.
The revised data on vital events (deaths) for the year T represents the absolute final data related to vital events (deaths) recorded in year T, to which were added vital events (deaths) belatedly recorded in years (T+1), (T+2) and the first four months of (T+3), but that occurred in year T.
