Definition The indicator expresses the degree of recycling of municipal waste

National Environmental Protection Agency 
Methodology Starting with 2010, the data are calculate according to the EUROSTAT Guide on the collection of data on municipal waste, and refer to municipal waste generated / recycled. This includes household and similar waste, generated from households, institutions, commercial units and economic operators, bulky waste and other waste from the population, as well as waste from municipal services (parks, gardens and street cleaning).
The indicator is calculate by relating the quantities of municipal waste recycled to the total quantities of municipal waste generated.
