Physical damage recorded during floods, for various probabilities of floods, by types of damage:
Number of counties affected by floods
Number of localities affected by floods
The number of human victims registered in the floods
Number of houses affected by floods
Number of household annexes affected by floods
The area affected by floods of agricultural land
The surface affected by pasture flooding
Area affected by forest flooding
Length affected by flooding of national roads
The length affected by floods of county roads
The length affected by floods of communal roads
The length affected by floods of forest roads
Length affected by railway flooding
Number of bridges and footbridges affected by floods
Number of socio-economic objectives affected by floods
This indicator measures the impact caused by hydrological and meteorological hazards and represents the physical damage registered during the floods.
The indicator helps to assess the capacity to adapt to natural disasters by monitoring the physical damage registered during floods. |

| Methodology |
The data are centralized, for the reference year, from the synthesis reports elaborated after each event, the indicator is calculated according to the legal provisions:
Regulation on the management of emergency situations generated by dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena having as effect the production of floods, hydrological drought, as well as accidents / incidents at hydrotechnical constructions, accidental pollution on watercourses and marine pollution in the coastal area.
Government Decision no.846 / 2010 National strategy for medium and long term flood risk management
Government Decision no. 972/2016 for the approval of the Flood Risk Management Plans related to the 11 water basin administrations and the Danube river on the Romanian territory
