The indicator provides information on the number of emergency interventions attended by professional, voluntary and private emergency services, caused by the occurrence of dangerous and / or associated meteorological Concepts: Emergency situation: exceptional non-military events that threaten the life or health of the person, the environment, material and cultural values, and to restore normalcy are necessary the adoption of urgent measures and actions, the allocation of specialized resources and unitary management of forces and the means involved. The indicator is used to measure the progress made in improving the ability to react quickly to dangerous weather events. |

Methodology |
The data are extracted from the databases regarding the interventions in emergency situations, established and managed, in a local environment, at the level of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. The indicator is calculated according to the legal provisions in force: Decision no. 1,491/2004 for the approval of the Framework Regulation regarding the organizational structure, attributions, functioning and endowment of the committees and operative centers for emergency situations Decision no. 1,492/2004 regarding the principles of organization, functioning and attributions of the professional emergency services Emergency Government Ordinance no. 21/2004 on the National Emergency Management System, with subsequent amendments and completions Government Decision 846/2010 for approving the national strategy for medium and long term flood risk management Government Decision 557/2016 on the management of risk types |
