Definition Air temperature is the quantity that characterizes the state of heating or cooling of the atmosphere, measured in the meteorological platform, in the immediate vicinity of the earth's surface.
The unit of temperature is the degree Celsius.

Methodology - The average monthly temperature is calculated as the arithmetic average of the average daily temperature values for the respective month;
- Annual average temperatures are calculated as the arithmetic mean of the average monthly temperature values for the respective year;
- The average monthly/annual temperature at national level is calculated as the arithmetic average of the average monthly/annual temperature values from the meteorological stations taken into account, from the respective month/year.

Observations The data are measured at meteorological stations with a continuous series of observations between 2008 and 2021.
