Definition |
Atmospheric precipitation represents all the products of condensation and crystallization of water vapor in the atmosphere, which usually fall from the clouds and reach the surface of the earth in liquid, solid or both form at the same time. The unit of measurement of the amount of precipitation is l/m2 or mm. |

Methodology |
- The total monthly amount of precipitation is calculated by summing the values of the daily quantities of precipitation in that month - The total annual amount of precipitation is calculated by summing the values of the monthly quantities of precipitation in that year; - The total monthly/annual amount of precipitation, average at national level, is calculated by averaging the values of the monthly/annual amounts of precipitation at the meteorological stations taken into account, month/year. |
