Definition The scientific research and technological development in the field of forestry is carried out through the National Institute for Research and Development in Forestry "Marin Dracea", under the coordination of the central public authority for scientific research, technological development and innovation as a national institute with legal personality, as well as through other legal entities of public and private law whose object of activity is scientific research and technological development in the field.

Methodology The scientific research in the field of forestry is financed from the state budget, through the budget of the central public authority responsible for forestry, as well as from other sources, according to the law (Forestry Code-2008, with subsequent amendments and additions).
The ODD indicators are aggregated by projects where INCDS "Marin Dracea" is a contracting party in publicly funded programmes, namely the National CDI Plan 2015-2020, the Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020 Axis 1 and the Core Programme.
